Spring in the desert
AprilRiver Trips
April belongs to the Owyhee. This remote desert canyon only runs for a few weeks each spring, and it's one of the wildest trips we offer. The Rogue is fishing too.

Good to know
A Short Window on the Owyhee
The Owyhee runs from early April to early May, when spring flows make the river floatable. You'll paddle through towering rhyolite cliffs and camp under red rock spires, far from any road. Join a guided 5-day trip, or bring your own boats on our Row Your Own trip.
Spring in the desert can swing from warm afternoons to cold nights, so pack warm layers and rain gear along with your sun protection.
Back in Oregon, our Briggs guides are still fishing the Rogue from drift boats.
Book Early
Popular dates and multi-day trips fill first, so lock in your date as soon as you know it.
